Dearest RtR Community,
As the new Board President of Respond to Racism, I invite you all to join me on Sunday, January 18, from 11:00am–1:00pm for a Solidarity Panel and community conversation featuring local abolitionist panelists reflecting on this political moment and what it calls us to do together.
Some say these are unprecedented times. From my perspective, this is a
pattern that we are being asked to break. Our struggles are connected. We are one. How do we choose to move forward? The water and the trees do not wait for us to continue their flow ~
How do we build solidarity across cities, "borders," neighborhoods, communities, and identities? What does solidarity look like in practice—rooted in resource, truth, compassion, and abolition?
Meet me either at the Education Pavilion @ Tryon Creek (11321 SW Terwilliger
Blvd., Portland, OR 97219) or online (link provided upon registration). Be sure to RSVP here: https://respondtoracism.org/events/solidarity-panel/
Looking forward to seeing y'all there :)
