US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has ramped up efforts to terrorize immigrant communities with raids and forced deportations. This past weekend, protests in Los Angeles sparked nationwide action, including here in Oregon.
As concerned citizens, there are a variety of ways we can stand in solidarity with the families and communities being targeted, as well as
those putting their bodies on the line to resist ICE. One way is to use our dollars to support those already doing the work on the ground like the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition or national legal resources like the Immigrant Legal Resource
Center.
Of course, another way to get involved is to join those currently protesting around the clock at the ICE facility in Portland on SW Macadam. The Instagram account @iceoutofportland is documenting the protests and providing updates. For those who can't join but want to support, they are also sharing needs and a donation
